gamescom dev 2026 takes place at the Confex Center
of Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany
With around 80 trade fairs and over 2,000 conferences annually, Koelnmesse is one of Germany’s most important and largest trade fair and exhibition centers. And it is the home of both gamescom and devcom.
Expanding the Koelnmesse trade fair ground, the new Confex Center offers 2 levels with 22 conference rooms ranging from 27 m² to 205 m², a prestigious outdoor terrace and the real jewel, the Confex hall, which can be divided into three sections and has a total capacity of 4,300 people.
With around 80 trade fairs and over 2,000 conferences annually, Koelnmesse is one of Germany’s most important and largest trade fair and exhibition centers in the heart of Cologne. And it is the home of both gamescom and gamescom dev.
The Confex Center offers state-of-the-art equipment, as well as sustainable concepts for environmentally-friendly events. The building includes 2 levels with conference rooms, a prestigious outdoor terrace and the real jewel, the Confex hall.

Travel directions
Arrival by car
Address: Confex, 50679 Cologne, Germany
Directly at the Confex, six parking levels on the roofs of the adjacent halls and the newly built car park offer a total of more than 15,000 parking spaces within walking distance of the Confex.
Arrival by train
If arriving at the train station (“Bahnhof”) Köln Messe/Deutz you can reach the Confex on foot by following the signposts.
If arriving at Cologne Central Station (“Hauptbahnhof”), you can take the regional S-, RB- and RE-trains to take you to Köln Messe/Deutz.
⚠️ Important notice: Due to construction work, the rail line between Düsseldorf and Cologne-Mülheim is completely closed. This has an impact on long-distance trains (ICE/IC) as well as on regional trains (RE 1, RE 5) and S-Bahn (S 6, S 11).
Please plan your trip with Deutsche Bahn and expect extra travel time.
Arrival by tram
Due to construction work, the Deutzer Bridge will be closed during the week of gamescom. This will affect tram lines 1, 7 & 9.
- Those traveling from the east (Bensberg and Königsforst) can still use lines 1 and 9, ending at the Köln Messe/Deutz station (Entrance South).
- Attendees from the left bank region (Cologne city center) can take the tram lines 3 and 4 from Neumarkt to Koelnmesse station (Entrance East / North).
- There are also replacement buses (lines 109 and 101) operating from Neumarkt and Heumarkt to the Köln Messe/Deutz station.
- Although frequently busy, other options involve (rented) bikes, (rented) e-scooters, taxis, or Uber services.
Arrival by plane
From Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN) take the train S19 (towards Düren) to the “Deutz/Messe” stop (journey time approx. 15 minutes); from there the footpath to the Confex is signposted.
Other nearby airports with international flight connections are Dusseldorf (DUS) and Frankfurt (FRA).
