Stefanía Halldórsdóttir is a dynamic and internationally experienced leader, currently at the helm as Chief Executive Officer of Avalanche Studios Group, a position she’s held since August 2023. Avalanche Studios Group, a part of Nordisk Games, is known for its dual approach to game development, featuring both self-published and externally published titles. Her journey into the gaming industry started at the Icelandic gaming company CCP and included a significant global initiative, where she spearheaded ICCP’s ambitious virtual reality game initiative in Shanghai.

Beyond her involvement in gaming, Stefanía’s leadership prowess is evident across a variety of roles. She served as the Managing Director at a VC fund at Eyrir, focusing on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investments. She also contributes as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Reykjavik University. Her career also includes executive positions such as Executive Vice President at Landsvirkjun and her previous role as Chairman of the Board at Almannarómur: Center for Language technology, where she was involved in promoting advancements in AI and language technology. Her diverse range of roles in board memberships and executive capacities reflects a career engaged in innovation, strategic development, and organizational management.
